Attorney Coffee holds memberships with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association, The American Constitution Society, the Milwaukee Bar Association, The Wisconsin Association for Justice, and the Association for Women Lawyers. She is active in the legal community, sharing her expertise in criminal law pracice with others through publishing articles and speaking before such groups as the Wisconsin Association for Justice, and the WI State Public Defender Conference. She is a former board chair and current board member of the Wisconsin State Bar's Criminal Law Section. Coffee serves on the board of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Attorney Coffee has represented clients in several high profile cases involving firearms and gun related legal issues, including concealed carry prohibitions (CCW), open carry, Castle Doctrine, and property return. A persuasive negotiator, she consistently reaches innovative settlements for her clients. She has won an impressive string of consecutive jury trial acquittals, utilizing an effective combination of trial skills and preparation, and personal credibility with jurors. Since joining Mastantuono & Coffee in 2005, Attorney Coffee has gained recognition as a leader in the criminal defense bar. Coffee went on to receive her law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2002. Early in her career, she worked for the American Bar Association's Death Penalty Representation Project, providing resources and policy support for attorneys handling death penalty cases.
